The cover artwork for Elsie #5 uses a found hand drawn font that I photographed in London earlier this year.
I’ve taken it into Photoshop and created a full set of characters and then converted them into a type-able font using a cool plug-in called Fontself.
The font types in mono, so for the cover I decided to colour in the words in Photoshop. When I’d finished, I inadvertently turned a few layers off
and revealed a different set of images hiding within. So here’s the cover artwork split into a number of different layer combinations.
